I know I promised the Wives portion and I promise its
coming! But I thought if I went a little into my savings world and kinda walked
you through starting couponing that most of you would really enjoy that!! So
first I’ll start with the apps I have on my phone for couponing and saving! Here’s
a screen shot of the coupon page of apps I have.
Ok so now I’ll explain what each one is used for...
Walmart- I use this for the savings catcher portion of the
app. This one is beyond simple all you do is take your recipe after any
shopping trip at Walmart and scan the barcode at the bottom and it checks to
make sure you didn’t forget an ad match if you did you will get that money back
on an egiftcard.
Target- This app I use to see their ad. Sense the closest
one is over a half hour away I don’t get their ad otherwise.
Cartwheel-This is probably my favorite app!! Target has done
a 50% off “toy of the day” deal every day sense mid November and has saved me a
fortune on Christmas shopping! This ends on Christmas eve I believe.
Savingstar-this one is used like a refund app. Basically you
spend so much money on a certain kind of product and you get money back. That you
can cashout anytime you hit at lease $5
Favado (shopular is a nonfood version)- basically this app
does the work for you! Yep that’s right makes things super simple! You tell it
what store you want to see the deals and it breaks it down for you! And if you
have your location on and you pull into a store it will remind you of the deals
going on there. If you click on a product it has the sale price then it tells
you what coupons are available for that product and where they come from. Then
gives you the price you will pay by using those coupons. Super helpful app and I
recommend it to anyone starting out!
Ibotta- another rebate type app this one you pick the store
and it names products you get money off of. It then has you do small things to “earn”
that back like take a poll or learn a fact, how to, get a recipe, watch there commercial ect.
Shopkick- This is my newest app though im already in love
with it! As long as your app is up
everytime you walk into a store you get points, you can also scan things
on to wishlist for extra point. Then you can redeem your points for egiftcards
or items! Plus every 3 friends that use your reference link you get a bonus set
of points. You get 50 pts just for walking into a store on a week day, 300 pts
for going into a store on Saturday and 100 on Sundays. So basically living your
life the way you are now but just turning on an app can save you money!! Click here to download it to your phone
Checkout 51- This app is another rebate app the cool part
about these are things like milk, bread and, produce the things you don’t get
coupons for often you can get rebates for and usually they don’t care what
brand!
Softcard- This was first introduced as isis but has recently
changed their name to softcard. This app has deals of its own. It also offers
$1 back on any purchase of a dollar or more. They have the tap to pay at things
like McDonalds or coke machines which make your savings incredible buy just a
large coke at McDonalds and just pay tax! Or the coke machines you end up
paying like .50 for a 20fl oz soda. Plus most phone companies offer free money on
your softcard when you get the right sim card (usually for free!)
Hip2save- this is a great app to have this has all the stores coupon policies in one spot. As well as restaurant deals going on.
Local store apps(Vons, commissary, Albertsons, foods co
etc.)- these all have their own benefits like app only coupons. Or just help
you with price questions inside and out of the store.
Now that you know the apps I use I'll, walk you through a few deals. So target is my favorite place to shop so, sorry if most of
my examples come from there. I am just
going to give you some ideas as well as current sales.
